Let’s say your friend loves video games, and you know about a cool new game they’d enjoy, you tell them about it, and they decide to buy it.

Now, imagine if the game store gave you a thank-you gift for sending your friend their way, that’s kind of how affiliate marketing works!

How Does It Actually Work?

Here’s a simple breakdown, You find a product you like – you sign up to promote that product or service from the company that sells it, they assign you a special link (your affiliate link) – you then do research about that product so you know what you are talking about – You tell people about the product and share your special link, and if someone clicks your link and buys you Earn a Commission! – Real-Life Example Imagine you love sneakers and you tell your friends about a cool new pair. If the shoe store gave you $5 every time someone bought the sneakers because of your recommendation, that’s affiliate marketing in action!

Why Is It Awesome? No need to create your own products – You just share products you already love, No inventory or shipping – The company handles all of that.

How to Get Started?

Pick a product or company you like. Sign up for their affiliate program (it’s usually free!).you can go to any big box store website, scroll to very bottom of site and look for become a affiliate or something like that, Sign up and once you are approved, pick a product, get your link start talking about it socially and say something like if you want to check it out click here, hyperlink the text to your link and you are on your way, start sharing it with friends, family, or online.

Earn commissions when people buy through your link!
